The day past the draft

So, that was a blog hiatus when in fact I have been into the web last month. :(
But here I am again also because it's July - the birthday month.:))

The past month was like riding in a subway train that's passing the tunnel - thrilling, weird, a bit scary, puzzling, nice. Post graduation blues, I guess. Ha-ha! Okay, for the record, I'm not trying to sound emo here! I just want to use those words! lol. It was an interesting phase, I must say. And despite the "darkness" of the tunnel, I can't help thanking God for the brighter world ahead! :)

After a few weeks of poring over ThoughtCatalog, reading blogs and e-books, watching movies, not to mention hanging out on Twitter, I resumed doing tutorials and paper works. My days suddenly went loaded. Thankfully, I still have some vacant time left. I also had gained a new perspective of life and how things go and who and what really matters.

In other news..

Yeheyy for a new baby! It's an addition to my subconsciously, unintentional growing collection. Hehe! It was good timing seeing this since my last note already ran out of pages that day I bought it (which is like just two days ago).

  Some of my college pals and I went to Tupi for baby Jethro's christening. It was my second time to go to their place and it would really be nice to go back. To Myrick and Edrin, alam na! lol

Myk,Ellyn,Joh w/ baby Jethro, Edrin, Mel, Myrick, me-whatever my reaction is. Ha-ha!

And this is just really because I miss my high school pals. This was what we call our barkada. The word was just sort of stuck, thanks to Art and his vocabulary.

Soigne Group of Companies. Ha-ha!

And oh, about the aforementioned  'tunnel', tunnels are never really looooooong...and if ever they are, you can always get out. So let's move on. :)

Camerawork : fondness for pictures

I am no photographer. Not a bit. But I like pictures. A lot. I don't know. They seem to let you in into something that's far away and magical and yet you're here, with feet on the very ground you're standing on. Trying hard as I am, try to take photos whenever I get the chance. I try to take good shots albeit most of the time it's a fail, hehe. Okay, the operative is try. I believe there's not much harm in trying. :))

I had this chance to hang around the plaza this afternoon while waiting for something. I sat beside this lady who I'm not sure if she preferred to be alone on the bench or not. I suppose it was okay for her since I get to sit beside her for a couple minutes. Then I started trying.

Ha-ha! Okay, I really think there's something wrong with this one. I like that reaction on the boy-in-a-blue-shirt's face though. :)

Boundaries
I remember seeing a photo like this on Tumblr. Joined the bandwagon, apparently.

Happy feeet!
I have been going to places lately and I'm glad to know more streets in GenSan because I'm a noob like that. Back in high school, I didn't know places. Thankfully, I do now.

In other news (and in reality), I am really planning to write about something else, like four other something-else's. But since I have not organized my words yet, I ended up showing a bunch of my "photography attempts". LOL!

Some sort of an update and practice

 I was able to see my college pals last week. :) It was quite an an adventure going to Joh's place at Tupi. We had some sort of hard time going to their actual house since we were not at all familiar with the place. Later on, Ron-ron showed us the "short cut" which is actually the road that we shoud've taken. I prefer the longer route though because it was nice. Hehe. :) It was such a treat to see them again - the first time again after several months. Ellen even went all the way from Surallah. I am looking forward to the next!

This week and the next week will be eventful weeks. (I have this thing for noting events on particular days and/or weeks. ) I have been working on an event together withe a friend and we are so hoping that this would be a successful one especially that this is the first of its kind she has handled. :) I have been making rounds which is tiring but fun. I am meeting people and doing things that are new to me.

I am also into lots of reading lately. Er, blog-reading, that is. There had been so many good reads around the world wide web lately and being the internet bum that I can be, I have spending time reading them - boon and a bane, srsly. Good thing is my passion for writing has been fueled again (which reminds me of the work that I have to do, hehe). The opposite bad thing is I have been always in front of the monitor. I am actually excited about the former I just hope that I would keep up the enthusiasm for a looooong time.

New notes to fill!

I am also looking forward to reading more fiction.
And to more note-taking.

This hasn't been all but I'm sparing the other awesomeness on other posts. Hehe. :)
 Let me leave you with this which also a note to self for today and the days to come.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not  see.

A rundown of things

For the past weeks, I have discovered myself new interests. Well, they're not really new since they are things that I have been liking since who-knows-when. It's just that my interest for these things have become more profound.  These things include: mails, pretty art stuff that artists do, fiction books (because contrary to popular belief, I have not been really into fiction), (should i still say) blogs (I have been discovering lots of wonderful ones that I'm planning to do a post featuring them), and writing.

Aaah, the influence of media. But really, I have been getting lots from the blogs that I have read and thankful that my above mentioned interests have been made more available through the world wide web. Speaking of blogs, there are so good write-ups to read that I suddenly wanted a tab or something. Thankfully, my phone has a file reader that I have been copy + pasting them onto Word so I can save them. And read them anywhere, anytime. :)

I also have been trying to write again so forgive the long, seemingly nonsensical words streaming down this blog. I seem to give myself a warm-up. I have a couple of ideas in my mind - and my notebook - waiting to be published. Hopefully I can sit down again like this soon. Hopefully. Soon.

Here's a rundown of things that made awesome sense to me lately:
  • the awesome event that was LifeMixx Convergence. I, and the many others, was really blessed with Yeng's (yes, the pop-rock princess) testimony;
  • the amazing workshop culmination that was  Life Academy recital. Guess what, we're season 6 this year!! Akalain mo nga naman. Parang kelan lang. I cannot help but be amazed by God's faithfulness seeing that this workshop is still on today (and next year, and the next year, and the next year...).Of course, hurray to the teachers, director/s, Life coaches;
  • the reunion of mi college barkada - had quite an adventure going to Joh's place. This was the first time that we were complete after graduation :);
  • the write-ups that I have read online;
  • the reconnection I had with friends; and
  • the interesting people, conversations, circumstances that I had encountered during my rounds. :)
Grateful. :)

The Summer Getaway

Last week was a definite treat. We (all of us including Papa who just came home last week) were able to go to the beach again after, say, years - with all of us present in the picture. Going swimming was like a tradition back then; but it hasn't been the case for the past couple of years.

Isla Jardin del Mar, Glan, Sarangani Province
 We were together with some family friends who were former/latter colleagues of Mama and Papa. It was quite a thrill because it was the first time that we get to spend time with them that long. Hehe.Well, it was two days of different 'firsts', to say.

Feels historical.
We passed by the market and the residential houses that were old thrilled me. Feels like Spanish-era. :)
The ride was exhilarating. I love how smooth the road is, I feel like cycling!

We had some stopovers along the way to, er, take pictures of the view. :)) Thankfully, my phone's camera did not fail me.

Sea brains?
Our family arrived first and we got a sort of shock upon arrival when we found out that it was low tide. Haha! But it gave us time to prepare our stuff  while waiting for the company.

It was actually an intro moment with the other 'kids' since we last met about two years ago and had no proper introduction, knowing each other only through faces. The 'rents, as expected, chatted their hearts out. The guys offered we play card games and this is where I had another first. We agreed that the 'losers' drink a glass of water as punishment and, guess what? I drank more than five glasses! Boo!

The tide was high by afternoon and the rest immediately swam in the waters while I decided to take a plunge the next day.

Octopus surprise!

Nighttime was cool, too. Since we weren't able to avail closed cottages and did not thought of renting tents, we slept in the cars instead. :))

I planned to witness the sunrise next morning but I failed :( The morning breeze was a relief, however.

The place was 'common' if you live by the sea in Glan. White sand. Clear blue waters. Awesome skies. Amazing sunsets. But it never fails to give me that sense of awe. I cannot help thanking God for letting us experience this beauty. And praising Him for it. Glorious, indeed!

Summer Sunshine

Hoorah! Before I know it, it's already April-and summer- leaving March with only one entry.
Anyways, a quick update.

I actually have a pending post but since it's quite too late after the announcement I'd be ranting about it once the project starts.

I'm into work lately. I like that I'm learning different kinds of things-and terminologies-out of this one. Plus, I'm discovering things about myself, too.
>I cannot seem to keep up with office work. I've known this since the last time I tried. I wonder when will I get the hang out of it. I guess office work plus field is okay. So far, not beyond three days.
>I can't seem to last staying in one exact place all the time. :( I'm glad that teaching requires movement. Hehe:))
>And, I can make myself not go uber dizzy (read: worst case scenario) on a trip by land -if I just really try hard...But I'm silent most of the time.

It's a green field out there, really.

Next week would be a pretty packed schedule.

On a different note, I am just so excited about this mailing thing. You see, I received a postcard yesterday from a postcard project that I joined in. (I'll be posting about it soon.) There's thrill in receiving those envelopes, especially for a letterwriting-person like me!:)) I'm excited to mail (and receive!) stuff from other sides of the world!

I'd love to post a photo but I can't just yet.
So I'd be posting this instead...

...in honor of graduation rites.

 Congratulations Batch 2012! The world's a great place. Enjoy! :)

Weeks and weeks

Let's keep this thing alive, shall we? ;)

It was another loaded week last week. A good kind of loaded. As I would always quip, it's better than bumming around. Anyhow, I did lots of things for mi tutorials, doing all these reviewers and things like that since it's exam season and everyone knows how a busy season it is for teachers, tutors. And tiring it is, it had been helpful as I look for more ways on how to make these kids learn those lessons. :)

Sadly, this busyness made me miss doing things like this. Well, honestly, most of the time, all the thoughts are just stuck in my head. Hehe. Thankfully, instead of staring on a blank screen, I blog-hopped and found some awesome new blogs to follow and read. :) (I'll make a post on this/them some time soon. *cross fingers*) Really stoked about my new finds. Yes, yes, the internet is a good thing in the first place. Hehe. Made me want to do more with my craft. :)

Hmm, on a semi-related note, I'll leave you with this one in lieu of missed February posts and that supposed entry about love which I will be writing someday. I'm just not sure when, though. Coolio video. ♥
Boom! I don't know  why the video won't upload. You can click on the title/link instead:)
